MAOHN Student Membership Scholarship

Purpose and History
The purpose of this scholarship is to raise awareness of the value of MAOHN membership for a rewarding career in Occupational Environmental Health. The scholarship is available to students in the University of Minnesota (UMN), School of Public Health (SPH), Occupational Environmental Health Nursing (OEHN) program and nursing students in similar programs or interests, as identified.

The Award
The MAOHN Student Membership Scholarship will be awarded to students in the UMN-SPH, OEHN Program and students from other programs, as identified and at the discretion of the MAOHN Awards Committee. The award includes a one year AAOHN/MAOHN student membership and free attendance at MAOHN meetings during the year. The MAOHN Student Membership Scholarship recipient(s) will be recognized during a MAOHN member meeting.

Award Criteria
Applicants must be:

  1. Student in good academic standing. Students need to include a copy of their school transcript for the past year.
  2. Interested in the Association's role in supporting the professional practice of OEHNs.
  3. Commitment to work in the field of occupational and environmental health nursing.

Please note that financial need is not necessary.
